Yoshiko’s photo looks delicious. Recipes for Tom Yum - shrimp, lemongrass, cilanto, ginger, chilis - sound yummy.

I am on a mission to find a good “Tom Yum” … which turns out harder than expected.

Tried two local Thai places, but ended up with something more like “Tom Yuck”. Both made their soup mainly from onion, tomato and generic mushrooms (I kid you not), celery (at one), with lots of broth and some shrimp. If there was any lime, ginger or lemongrass in the mix, I could not taste it :(.

Might have to make this myself to get anything remotely as good as the picture. Either that or find Yoshiko’s friend in Japan…
